Toka Tū Ake EQC wins at the NZDF Tohu awards
We’re honoured to have won the 2022 Reservist Employer of the year award at the New Zealand Defence Force Tohu awards(external link).
The Reservist Employer of the year award recognises the value and impact that our Toka Tū Ake EQC People Promise has for our people.
Our of Head of People and Capability, Fiona Barker, says that “we’ve created a People Promise that is for our people, by our people. It’s tailored to help our people be their best selves both personally and professionally.”

This commitment aligns with our support of the response and recovery of our communities following an event and our organisation also benefits from the experience and capability building that employees receive.
“Without the support of Toka Tū Ake EQC, my career as a NZDF reservist would have ended a long time ago. I’m grateful that I still have the opportunity to serve our country when called upon while also being well supported by Toka Tū Ake EQC” says Toka Tū Ake EQC’s serving member of the Army Reserve.
